I bought this book for a Solidworks class at school. The professor assigned the projects from the book as homework for the class. The instructions were easy to follow since it lists them out step by step, but at some points I found myself stuck and trying to figure out what to do by myself. The book itself came in great condition (the one I bought was new). Overall, the textbook was a good way to introduce yourself to Solidworks and I would recommend it to anyone who is newly learning the program.
Great book...wish I liked the class! If you are beginning CAD...also suggest you buy "Solidworks for Dummies"...it's not like Maya!

This is a god awful book. The author knows SolidWorks, but doesn't know how to present the material to a student.Going through this book to learn SolidWorks made me feel like going through the digestive system of a very long snake. I experienced all the pain of the snake's motion through twists and turns of the forest, and the excruciating attacks of the stages of digestive.Readers wanting to learn SolidWorks would better go to a technical book store to check out other SolidWorks text books.
